Claire Holden

Claire holds a Law and Business degree from Birmingham University and is a qualified project manager with extensive experience in project, operations, and change management. She has led programs from initial ideation through to delivery and thrives on collaborating with people to develop sustainable solutions. Nothing makes her happier than seeing an efficient and effective process in action!

She is deeply committed to helping people repurpose their skills and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Planting a Tree

Our Story

We met on the PTA, surrounded by competent, capable, skilled women, who were struggling to find work that both used their skills and fitted around their families.

They were expected to either commute long distances with an offer of some hybrid working or, take a job that didn't use the skills they'd built up over many years of work before having a family.

As we began speaking to local businesses and social sector organisations they sighted a lack of talent holding them back.

We couldn't understand why this match wasn't being made. So, we have set ourselves up as the match makers. We don't just have a job board, we use community networking to reach the skilled individuals and we work strategically with the organisations to understand their capacity gaps and then shape flexible roles to fit the local talent.

As we began meeting the flexible workers, and the organisations, we spotted an opportunity to use the skills of these workers on a project basis, to solve specific organisational problems, for example, to improve efficiency, build better processes or make them more sustainable. Enabling them to both grow and improve efficiency.

We believe that local people can solve local challenges.
